Children need help dealing with challenges in the world today. For that matter, we all do! This is an inspirational story about children who travel all over the world in search of an answer to the world’s problems. After looking everywhere, they meet someone who teaches them to value who they are on the inside. The children transform their world by practicing kindness, love, and understanding.
The simple yet profound message touches the heart. Although we don’t have Peace in all the world, and perhaps that is a bit of a naive assumption that it is possible, I feel that if children are taught to be peaceful from an early age, eventually, the world will be at Peace.
Peace For Today, The Children of the World Find A Way is a lyrical bedtime story that appeals to children of all ages.
Writing this story was an inspiration to me. It’s a story to treasure that even parents can pick up repeatedly to read to a child and receive calm and hope. Parents find this book helps teach kindness, consideration, and being mindful of others. Adults will enjoy this inspirational book as much as their children.
One To One, Peace For Today is set in a poetic read-aloud form and beautifully illustrated with simple drawings.

Although the message is stated in a non-denominational manner, it alludes to the teachings of Jesus. “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20, 21 All the world’s religions have at their core a peaceful message in the beginning. Adding this book to your library will stand the test of time.
I read this book to grade three classrooms and at many other events. The children always enjoyed it very much. Afterward, teachers came up to me and told me it had an impact on them. One teacher’s aide told me she had been feeling overwhelmed and angry. The story changed her outlook on the spot, and she said she would always remember the poetic and rhythmic calm she felt.
This is the first book I have published, and a children’s organization promoting safety purchased copies to hand out. It was also used as a museum fundraiser at the Lynde House Museum for a couple of years.
May you have a Blessed and Peaceful Day!
