A Podcast That Teaches Kindness To Animals

At Astoria Magazine, we love hearing about people who do fun, engaging, and inspirational things in their lives. We recently came across a series of awesome podcasts with an excellent message for children and pet owners. Not only are they informative, but these podcasts are like mini-stories from the vantage point of a Pit Bulldog who was rescued after being abused. Amazingly he was found to have some pretty unique abilities!

The Pit Bulldog is named “Kit” and inspired Angela Lambru, an actor, voice artist, writer, producer, podcaster, and animal advocate, to write his story.

Angela Lambru – Writer and Producer of the Kit Bull Story Podcast

You can tell that Angela is a caring and idea-driven individual by the stories she tells. Once she began, she decided to turn Kit’s stories into podcasts. Through this medium, she enlivens each short story with her talent for imitating various voices that bring Kit and the other characters to life.

It is hard to believe anyone would be cruel to an animal, but it happens often. What Kit Bull brings to the stories is the understanding that animals have feelings too. Children don’t automatically know how to treat animals; learning how is essential in growing up. Kids mimic how parents and other family and friends behave around pets. This Podcast by Angela Lambru is a good resource for teaching. Plus, the stories are a lot of fun listening to. Complete with music and character voices, your family will have fun listening.

How to keep your child from getting bored and, more importantly, sitting quietly? Imagine sitting with your child in the dentist’s office and waiting for your appointment or driving a distance where you only need your smartphone or iPad and an earpiece. You have instant entertainment in short easy to listen-to clips.

You can tune in to these delightful tales from anywhere to hear the latest story or start from the beginning and binge-listen.

All the episodes are good. I particularly like the episode called “Cat Tales, Kit Meets Scat and learns about Cats.” As you can tell by the photograph of Angela with her cat named Marmaly, she and I have an affinity for felines.

My Kit Bull Story: by Angela Lambru

I am an actor, voice artist, writer, producer, podcaster, and animal advocate. One of the fondest memories I had growing up was sharing my life with a pet, actually many pets over the years. I learned a lot from them, like having empathy, being kind, and getting unconditional love, to name a few! I am still learning from them, and I believe children and pets can learn from each other.

I had a lot of animal rescue experience. Along the way, I realized how much animals were mistreated by humans, which led me on a lifelong journey of advocacy. Though I was helping animals one at a time, I felt it wasn’t enough. I wanted to do more, there was so much I wanted to say, so I searched.

I had written a short story about a rescued pit bull named Kit, and I knew I wanted to do something with it. I finally found a platform through podcasting where I could combine my passions for performing and helping animals by sharing stories about what’s important to and for animals.

The short story I wrote about the pit bull became The Kit Bull Story podcast. The Kit Bull Story is the tale of a rescued abused Pit Bull dog. He was rehabilitated and then went to live at Wild in the City doggie daycare with Rose, the proprietor. “Kit” has the unusual ability to help the other dogs that come to the daycare with their problems.

Along with Rose, they end up educating and helping not only the dogs and other animals but also their humans. Each short episode deals with the treatment/mistreatment of pets and leaves the listener with a meaningful message and a few laughs! It’s a fun way for children and adults to learn the world of pets and how to treat them!

The Kit Bull Story is a fun and educational podcast. You can listen to it on the website at TheKitBullStory.com. It’s also available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Tune In, or wherever you listen to podcasts.”

Pit Bulls are a great breed when you have children. Like all animals, they respond best when treated well. Children should be taught how to treat pets well. Take care to interact depending on the age of the child. Common sense and supervision of babies and toddlers are recommended. Pit Bulls can live up to fifteen years, lots of time to grow together. They are loyal and very people-oriented. You may find their unique ability to please and belong just adorable.

Why not listen to some podcasts featuring Kit now? There are already two seasons of podcasts for you to enjoy. https://www.thekitbullstory.com/podcast.php
